CREATIVE DIRECTION
BRAND IDENTITY
Mundo Lodge is a mid-century estate tucked away in the Southern California desert, hosting short-term vacation stays. The property needed a brand identity that conveyed both the serenity of desert living and the modern sophistication of a boutique retreat.
A California desert lodge reimagined with a warm, modern identity.
THE CHALLENGE
The lodge needed to stand out in a saturated short-term rental market where many properties defaulted to generic aesthetics. The challenge was to capture the unique atmosphere of the calm, lush, and inviting desert while giving the brand a polished system that would elevate its guest experience.
Above is a voucher for guests to redeem a desert plant like a succulent or cactus to take home as a gift of appreciation for the stay. The plant care guide and voucher ticket inserted is printed with the host's actual handwriting for a personal touch.

THE APPROACH
Discovery
We examined boutique hospitality trends, Southern California desert landscapes, and the lodge’s mid-century architectural character.
Strategy
Mundo Lodge was positioned as a boutique retreat where guests feel immersed in both design and nature.
Design
We created an identity system anchored by a bold “ML” monogram filled with botanical textures, paired with natural palettes and warm typography.
Refinement
The brand system extended across guest materials—signage, stationery, plant care cards, and wayfinding—ensuring a consistent experience from first arrival to final checkout.
Mundo Lodge shows how thoughtful identity can turn a property into more than just a rental. It becomes an experience. By blending desert-inspired visuals with boutique-level refinement, the brand invites guests into a stay that feels designed, intentional, and memorable.
